Joyce Byers still designs each caroler, but it is the team of 180 artisans which bring to life the figures that have found their way into people's hearts and traditions. The Story…
Bob Byers stopped in the garden center in July of 2010 to go over the final details for the upcoming Carolers signing in November of that year. As we were talking I mentioned the fact that I would like to do an exclusive piece for Country Farm & Home. What did he think? He thought it was a great idea and said to give some thought as to what I would want to do, keeping in mind both what our customers like and what I’m passionate about. That next Monday I needed to make a trip and decided to keep the radio off in the van in order to mull over ideas for the Country Farm & Home Caroler Collection. I am an avid Santa collector and decided I would love to do a collection of Santas. But so many things had been already done - Around the World, Traditions, Occupation…. Then it hit me…how about a collection of different Santas based on Christmas Carols? And the more I thought about it, the more sense it made. A collection of Byers’ Choice Santa Carolers based on your – and my - favorite Christmas Carols. I decided the collection would be called the Carols of Christmas and the signature item on all the Santas would be a long hat with a jingle bell on the end. And now the collection begins….
